Music
Ascension has long been a place where music plays an important role in enhancing our worship.
The Chancel Choir
The "Choir," as it is most commonly known, is made up of both male and female singers joining their voices in praise to God. Approximately 20 singers comprise the choir and sing in 4-part harmony from mid September until late May each year. The choir meets weekly and welcomes all new singers. Prior choir singing is not a prerequisite and all voices are welcome.
The “Alleluia Ringers” Bell Choir
The "Bells" play during worship services once each month and at special services. No prior musical training is required.
Harps of Faith
Harps of Faith is our harp choir open to all ages. Basic hand technique is taught for free and we even have some Celtic harps to loan out for those who don’t own one (first come, first serve basis). Rehearsals are weekly, September – May. This ensemble plays during the 10:15am service as well as out in our community.
